What's New On Netflix In August

(RTTNews) - Online movie rental service Netflix has lined up a new selection of titles for August. It includes a strong lineup for children during the school holidays as well as more original shows and some award-winning movies.

Films slated for kids include "The Little Prince," directed by Mark Osborne. The animated film is based upon the children's book of the same name. It stars Jeff Bridges and Marion Cotillard.

Another movie for kids is "Project MC2," which follows four super science-skilled girls as they are recruited to join the spy organization NOV8.

Big movie titles feature, among others, Adam Sandler's "Big Daddy" and "Star Trek : Nemesis", both to be aired on August 1.

Other films scheduled for August include "The Fast and the Furious" movies, Jennifer Lopez's "the Wedding Planner", and the Oscar-winning movie, "No Country For Old Men".

New TV series and documentaries include "Once Upon A Time," scheduled for August 8. Al Gore's "An Inconvenient Truth," arrives on Netflix on August 1. Another big addition to the service this month include a Netflix-exclusive release "Funny or Die Presents: Donald Trump's The Art of the Deal: The Movie."

The August schedule also includes two new comedy shows. Comedian David Cross' latest stand-up comedy special will be aired on August 5, while Jeff Foxworthy and Larry The Cable Guy will partner for a release of their stand-up comedy special on August 26.
