Westlake Chemical Appoints Joseph B. Nassif as Vice President of Corpo

HOUSTON, April 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Westlake Chemical today announced that it has named Joseph B. Nassif as Vice President, Corporate Purchasing.

In his new position, Nassif will direct the corporate-wide procurement activities in support of the business to include maintenance, repairs, operations, capital expenditures and administrative purchasing. His responsibilities also include the development and analysis of strategic procurement processes and opportunities for our business.

Nassif most recently was a Principal Consultant with Genesis Business Performance Inc., where he provided supply chain, strategic planning and business analysis consulting services to the chemical industry. He previously served as COO of Lipo Chemicals, Inc., Vice President and Business Director and Vice President Operations and Supply Chain for the chemicals and filters division of International Specialty Products, Inc. (ISP). For over 10 years Joe worked for BASF in a variety of increasingly responsible positions in logistics, procurement and finance.

He holds a BS in chemistry from City University of New York, an MS in Chemical Engineering from Columbia and an MBA from NYU.
