Weight Watchers Reports Q4 Profit In Line; Sees FY15 EPS Well Below Consensus

(RTTNews) - Weight Watchers International, Inc. (WTW) reported a fourth quarter net loss of $16.1 million or $0.28 per share, compared to net income of $30.8 million or $0.54 per share for the year-ago quarter.

Excluding items, adjusted net income for the fourth quarter was $3.7 million or $0.07 per share, compared to $32.0 million or $0.56 in the prior year quarter.

Fourth quarter revenues fell 10.4% to $327.8 million from $366.1 million a year ago.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.07 per share on revenue of $332.70 million for the fourth quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Looking forward, the company forecasts 2015 earnings of between $0.40 and $0.70 per share. Analysts currently expect the company to earn $1.43 per share for the full year 2015.
