USANA Results Surpass Estimates, Again Lifts FY Guidance; Stock Up 12%

(RTTNews) - USANA Health Sciences Inc (USNA), a maker of nutritional supplements and personal care products, on Tuesday reported second-quarter net earnings of $25.4 million or $1.92 per share compared with $19.3 million or $1.36 per share last year.

Revenues for the quarter were up about 24 percent at $233.2 million compared with $188.3 million in the prior year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of $1.60 per share on revenues of $212.9 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Net sales in the Asia Pacific region increased 35.4 percent, while growth was modest in the Americas/Europe region .

For the full year 2015, the company now expects earnings of $6.90 to $7.20 per share on revenues of $900 million to $920 million. Earlier it expected earnings of $6.45 to $6.75 per share on revenues of $870 million to $890 million.

Analysts expect earnings of $6.70 per share on revenues of $884.6 million for the year.
