USANA Health Sciences Q1 Profit Rises

(RTTNews) - USANA Health Sciences Inc. (USNA) Tuesday reported first-quarter net earnings of $19.7 million or $1.50 per share, up from $16.5 million or $1.15 per share last year.

Sales for the quarter rose to $219.4 million from $182.4 million last year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected earnings of $1.30 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Looking forward to full year 2015, the company now sees earnings of $6.45 to $6.75 per share and sales of $870 million to $890 million. Analysts currently estimate earnings of $6.68 per share for 2015.

Earlier, the company expected earnings of $6.40 to $6.70 per share and revenues of $850 million to $870 million.
