UGI Corp. Announces 7% Increase In Q2 Profit

(RTTNews) - UGI Corp. (UGI) reported a profit for its second quarter that advanced compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line climbed to $231.8 million, or $1.31 per share. This was higher than $216.2 million, or $1.24 per share, in last year's second quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.32 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 10.2% to $2.17 billion. This was up from $1.97 billion last year.
