UGI Corp. Announces 43% Increase In Q1 Bottom Line

(RTTNews) - UGI Corp. (UGI) reported a profit for its first quarter that advanced from last year.

The company said its bottom line totaled $160.9 million, or $0.91 per share. This was higher than $112.4 million, or $0.64 per share, in last year's first quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.76 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 4.3% to $1.68 billion. This was up from $1.61 billion last year.
