U.S. Energy President, COO Mark Larsen To Retire, Effective Dec. 31

(RTTNews) - U.S. Energy Corp. (USEG) said its President and Chief Operating Officer, Mark Larsen, has notified the board that he will retire from his roles with effect from December 31, 2014.

Larsen has been employed by the firm since June 1984 and he was named President and COO in August 2005. In his leadership, the company has transitioned from predominantly pursuing mining interests to being a growing oil and gas producer. At the request of the board, Larsen will remain in an advisory role during 2015 to oversee the advancement of the Mount Emmons molybdenum project. He will continue to be a board member through his current term which expires in June 2016.

The company plans to begin a search for a Chief Operating Officer in the near term.
