Trimble Q4 Results Top Estimate

(RTTNews) - Trimble Navigation Ltd. (TRMB) reported net income for the fourth quarter of $60.0 million or $0.23 per share, compared to $33.2 million or $0.13 per share for the year-ago quarter.

Excluding items, adjusted net income for the fourth quarter was $114.0 million or $0.43 per share, compared to $73.4 million or $0.28 per share in the prior year quarter.

Fourth quarter revenue rose 16% to $599.2 million from $515.5 million a year ago.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.37 per share on revenue of $567.38 million for the fourth quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Looking forward to the first quarter, Trimble expects revenue between $610 million and $630 million with earnings per share of $0.23 to $0.26 and adjusted earnings per share of $0.40 to $0.43. Analysts currently expect the company to earn $0.42per share on revenue of $616.92 million for the first quarter.
