Total System Services Announces 26% Gain In Q1 Profit

(RTTNews) - Total System Services (TSS) reported a profit for its first quarter that increased compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line rose to $152.27 million, or $0.82 per share. This was higher than $120.71 million, or $0.66 per share, in last year's first quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.77 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 59.5% to $1.18 billion. This was up from $0.74 billion last year.
