The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation to Participate on November 14 in the Merrill Lynch Banking & Financial Services Investor Conference

NEW YORK, Nov. 8 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Gerald L. Hassell, president of The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation , and James P. Palermo, co-chief executive officer of BNY Mellon Asset Servicing, will be presenting at the 2007 Merrill Lynch Banking & Financial Services Investor Conference at 8 a.m. EST on Wednesday, November 14, 2007 in New York City. Mr. Hassell will discuss The Bank of New York Mellon's leadership position in asset management and securities servicing and highlight opportunities for growth; Mr. Palermo will profile BNY Mellon Asset Servicing. During the afternoon portion of the conference, Timothy F.
