The Bank of New York Mellon Corp. Profit Rises 1% In Q3

(RTTNews) - The Bank of New York Mellon Corp. (BK) revealed earnings for its third quarter that rose compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line advanced to $983 million, or $0.94 per share. This was higher than $974 million, or $0.90 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.92 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 2.0% to $4.01 billion. This was up from $3.93 billion last year.
