TE Connectivity Ltd. Q4 Earnings Retreat 2%

(RTTNews) - TE Connectivity Ltd. (TEL) released a profit for fourth quarter that retreated compared to the same period last year.

The company said its profit came in at $445 million, or $1.25 per share. This was down from $455 million, or $1.27 per share, in last year's fourth quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.16 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 3.9% to $3.46 billion. This was up from $3.33 billion last year.
