Taylor Devices Announces Full Year And Fourth Quarter Results

NORTH TONAWANDA, N.Y., Aug. 29, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Taylor Devices, Inc.  (NASDAQ SmallCap: "TAYD") announced today that it had set an all-time, full fiscal year net income record of $2,547,794, up 16% from the previous record of $2,198,931, set just last year in 2012.  Net earnings for the 4^th quarter were $548,101, down from last year's 4^th quarter profit of $862,860. 

Sales for the full year were $24,729,585, down from last year's record level of $29,006,812.  Sales for the 4^th quarter were $5,151,806, down from last year's 4^th quarter sales of $9,643,520.

"Our firm order backlog was $13.1 million at year-end; up from the $11.7 million level reported only one quarter ago," stated Douglas P. Taylor, President.  He continued, "It is noteworthy that the setting of an all-time record for full year profitability coincides with the substantial completion of the expansion of our manufacturing space."  He concluded, "We were pleased with our 2013 performance and believe the company is now positioned to perform well for the foreseeable future."
