StumbleUpon Continues to Make Discovery Easy and More Accessible, Welcomes Latest Premier Publishers to Partner Program

StumbleUpon (www.stumbleupon.com), the leading way to discover Web sites and videos on the Internet, continues to evolve and expand its Partner Program, enabling the discovery of top content within partner sites. Today, the company announced the addition of Funny Or Die, Atom.com, Scientific American and 5min.com to the program. These publishers will now be able to leverage StumbleUpon’s unique discovery engine to enhance their audience’s online experience by helping them discover content that meets their interests.

StumbleUpon’s Partner Program, which was launched in October of this year with publishers HowStuffWorks.com, National Geographic.com, RollingStone.com and HuffingtonPost.com, offers premier partners a suite of tools that help their users to discover more personally relevant and interesting content within their respective sites. All of these partners have significant amounts of content within the StumbleUpon index and with this new program, their users can Stumble through the best of their content without having to go to www.stumbleupon.com, download the StumbleUpon toolbar or register for a StumbleUpon account.

"As a long time Stumbler I am thrilled that Funny or Die is joining StumbleUpon's Partner Program," says Dick Glover, CEO of Funny or Die and the Or Die Networks. "This is a great opportunity to provide users, fans and all consumers an easy and fun way to find the best comedy anywhere."

Being a part of StumbleUpon’s Partner Program offers premier publishers a number of key benefits. By allowing users to Stumble exclusively through the best articles, photos, and videos on their Web sites, publishers have the opportunity to garner exposure for existing and new content throughout their sites, and in turn, to increase the effectiveness and appeal of that content and create a more engaging user experience. The program allows them to generate more user activity and increase page views and time spent on the site.

"StumbleUpon is fortunate to able to partner with these premier publishers to expose Stumbling on the web to an even larger audience,” said Michael Buhr, General Manager of StumbleUpon. "We are pleased with the feedback that we have gotten about the StumbleUpon Partner Program and the opportunity that it provides to both consumers and publishers. Users are excited about the content they can now discover and partners are happy by the increased engagement within their sites.”

"People come to Atom.com to find the best in Web comedy, said Scott Roesch, General Manager of Atom.com ”StumbleUpon's Partner Program gives Atom users a powerful new way to discover the best of the best on Atom.com.”
