    Crescendo 2005

    EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 3, 2005--

Awards program honors customers creating outstanding value and driving
rapid success in their organizations using Stellent technology

Stellent, Inc. (Nasdaq:STEL), a global provider of content management solutions, announced today the winners of its inaugural Stellent Customer Success Awards. Stellent recognized award recipients yesterday during a special ceremony at Crescendo(TM) 2005, the company's annual global user conference being held in San Diego, Calif. this week.
"We established this awards program to honor Stellent customers who are creating outstanding value and driving rapid success in their organizations with Stellent technology," said Robert Olson, president and chief executive officer for Stellent. "After reviewing many submissions worthy of distinction, we are proud to recognize a number of customers for their outstanding implementations."
To be considered for a Customer Success Award, Stellent customers were asked to outline the business challenges Stellent(R) Universal Content Management helps solve and the benefits their content management initiatives have generated. Details regarding this year's Stellent Customer Success Award winners include:

Technology-Centric Solutions of the Year -- Recognizing Stellent deployments that resulted in a demonstrable return-on-investment (ROI) and successful line-of-business or enterprise-wide application.

-- Enterprise Content Management Implementation of the Year: SK Telecom -- a leader in Korea's wireless communications market, providing satellite digital mobile broadcasting worldwide -- worked with Stellent Consulting to implement a content management system with one repository to manage and distribute content across multiple wireless service systems. SK Telecom's Stellent solution has significantly decreased the cost of maintaining its disparate wireless systems.

-- Records Management Implementation of the Year: Alliant Energy
-- a Fortune 1000 energy holding company delivering energy related products and services -- tapped Stellent to help meet utility regulations with varying record retention requirements. Alliant's Stellent Records Management solution provides the organization with a central repository to securely manage records for multiple regulatory needs, ensuring their authenticity, integrity, reliability and accessibility.

-- Document Management Implementation of the Year: PacifiCare Health Systems -- a leading consumer health organization -- implemented Stellent to provide enterprise-wide document management and change control for more than 25,000 documents. PacifiCare achieved a return on its investment within six months of its Stellent Document Management deployment, and estimates it will save $1 million per year on printing and distribution costs.

-- Imaging/Business Process Management Implementation of the Year: The Weitz Co. -- one of the 20 largest building contractors in the United States -- integrated Stellent Universal Content Management with PeopleSoft EnterpriseOne to improve its accounts payable (A/P) processes across 10 business units. The Weitz Co.'s Stellent solution has resulted in reduced A/P approval times, fewer lost invoices, more efficient coding of invoices and remote access to accounting information.

Application-Centric Solutions of the Year -- Recognizing creative and practical uses of Stellent technology that were successful in solving specific business problems.

-- Compliance Implementation of the Year: Odyssey America
Reinsurance Co. -- a worldwide underwriter of property and
casualty treaty, program and facultative reinsurance and
specialty insurance -- deployed the Stellent Sarbanes-Oxley
Solution to distribute ownership and manage Sarbanes-Oxley
documentation at the line-of-business level. Odyssey's
Stellent system helped the organization achieve Sarbanes-Oxley
compliance and establish the technology architecture for other
    compliance efforts across the company.

-- Multi-Site Management Implementation of the Year: MG Rover
Group Ltd. -- a United Kingdom-based automotive manufacturer
-- leverages Stellent Site Studio as the foundation of its
public Web sites across Europe to improve control,
responsiveness, quality and cost. The Stellent solution
enables MG Rover to seamlessly manage Web content in English,
German, French, Dutch, Spanish, Portuguese, Flemish and
Italian. Overall, the organization has reduced operational
costs and inefficiencies previously related to managing an
    external provider.

-- Customer Service Implementation of the Year: Bell Canada --
the largest telecommunications corporation in Canada employing
more than 35,000 call center staff -- utilizes Stellent
technology as a single-source knowledge repository for
reliable, up-to-date and relevant information for customer
service representatives. Dramatically, Bell Canada has reduced
average call times from eight to two minutes, increased
productivity and communication, and improved overall customer
    satisfaction using Stellent technology.

-- Extranet Implementation of the Year: Emerson Process
Management -- a global leader in helping businesses automate
production, processing and distribution practices -- deployed
a number of Stellent-powered extranets in just 15 days,
providing global suppliers with access to more than 800
manufacturing procedures and product drawings. Emerson
estimates it saves approximately $20,000 per supplier per year
using Stellent technology to automate manual processes.

-- Intranet Implementation of the Year: Weatherford International
Ltd. -- one of the world's largest providers of mechanical
solutions, technology and services for the drilling and
production sectors of the oil and gas industry -- converted
its old intranet to a Stellent-based system through a .NET
framework using Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) to create
a central-source document repository, and increase the speed
and frequency of finding internal documents. By transitioning
just one regional intranet site to Stellent, Weatherford
identified that 62 percent of its documents were duplicates.
In addition, the company has significantly increased employee
productivity and eliminated the need to hire additional
    resources for Web-based database development.

In a special awards category, Sony Pictures Entertainment's Stellent deployment was selected as the Universal Content Management Implementation of the Year. Sony Pictures Entertainment is a provider of motion picture production and distribution, television programming and syndication, home video acquisition and distribution, studio facility operation, entertainment technology development, and distribution of filmed entertainment in 67 countries worldwide. Sony's Stellent implementation began by revamping SonyPictures.com and its Web content management architecture for international sites. It has now expanded to include compliance, as well as an enterprise document management system managing more than 20 different processes and projects. The initial effort has resulted in the ability for four people to complete the work of 40; uniform branding across all external-facing Sony Pictures sites; and Sony Pictures' ability to deliver content to any device.
Stellent also recognized seven of its customers with Industry Awards for best use of Stellent technology within a specific vertical industry. Winners include: Caremark, Inc. (Insurance), Scott County, Minn. (Public Sector/State and Local Government), Argonne National Laboratory (Public Sector/Federal), ING (Financial Services), Target Corp. (Consumer Products/Retail), Emerson Process Management (Manufacturing) and Qwest Communications International, Inc. (High Tech/Telecom).
"The tremendous response to our inaugural awards program is evidence of the rapid success Stellent's powerful and flexible technology is driving for our customers through fast implementations and quick, broad user adoption," said Dan Ryan, executive vice president of marketing and business development for Stellent. "We look forward to even greater participation next year and the opportunity to highlight additional Stellent implementations that are enabling our customers to seamlessly manage their business-critical information."
