Simulations Plus Q4 Earnings Slide

(RTTNews) - Simulations Plus, Inc. (SLP), a provider of software for pharmaceutical discovery and development, Tuesday reported a drop in the fourth-quarter earnings.

Earnings of the California-based company declined to $0.245 million, or $0.015 per share, from $0.349 million, or $0.021 per share, a year ago. Two analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated the company's earnings to be $0.02 for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude one-time items.

For the three months to August, revenue fell to $1.58 million from $1.64 million a year ago. Analysts had estimated revenue for the quarter to be $1.81 million.

Monday, the stock closed at $5.31 on the NYSE.
