Simpson Manufacturing Q3 Profit Tops View

(RTTNews) - Simpson Manufacturing Co. Inc. (SSD) Thursday reported third-quarter net income of $20.0 million, or $0.41 per share, compared to $13.0 million, or $0.27 per share in the comparable quarter last year.

Net sales for the latest third quarter rose 13.8 percent to $195.88 million from $172.11 million last year. The increase in the Company's third quarter 2013 net sales was due to increased sales in all segments, with North America reporting the largest increase in dollars.

On average, analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of $0.33 per share on revenues of $188.70 million for the quarter. Analysts estimates typically exclude one-time items.
