Sharps Compliance Q4 Profit Declines - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Sharps Compliance Corp. (SMED), a full-service national provider of comprehensive waste management solutions, Wednesday said fourth-quarter net income declined to $1.3 million, or $0.08 per share from $1.6 million or $0.11 per share in the comparable quarter last year.

On average, four analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected earnings of $0.02 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company reported operating income of $1.4 million in the fourth quarter of 2015 as compared to operating income of $1.7 million in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2014.

Revenue rose 27% to $8.99 million from $7.10 million in the same prior year quarter, while four analysts expected revenues of $8.31 million.
