Service Corp. International Q1 Earnings Drop 16%
(RTTNews) - Service Corp. International (SCI) released a profit for first quarter that retreated compared to the same period last year.
The company said its earnings fell to $55.3 million, or $0.28 per share. This was lower than $65.6 million, or $0.32 per share, in last year's first quarter.
Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.28 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
The company said revenue for the quarter rose 0.2% to $749.3 million. This was up from $748.1 million last year.
