Semtech Posts Q4 Loss - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Semtech Corporation (SMTC) Wednesday reported fourth-quarter loss of $210.8 million or $3.12 per share, compared to a profit of $13.1 million or $0.19 per share in the same period last year.

Adjusted earnings for the quarter were $15.5 million or $0.23 per share. On average, 10 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.23 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Revenues decreased 16 percent to $126.5 million from $150.60 million last year. Analysts expected revenues of $125.14 million.

Looking ahead to the fiscal 2014, the company has forecast earnings in the range of $0.10 to $0.14 per share, with adjusted earnings ranging between $0.28 and $0.32 per share. Sales are expected to range between $127.0 million and $133.0 million. Analysts currently expect the company to report full-year earnings of $1.56 per share on revenues of $593.66 million.
