Scientific Games Loss Widens On On Charges
(RTTNews) - Scientific Games Corp (SGMS) on Wednesday reported fourth-quarter net loss of $47 million or $0.55 per share compared with a loss of $3.5 million or $0.04 per share last year.
The company said that results were hurt by charges and other one-time items, including costs related to the closing of the Bally acquisition.
Revenues for the quarter were $565.8 million compared with $410.9 million in the prior year.
Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated a loss of $0.60 per share on revenues of $510.7 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Scientific Games provides technology-based products and services, and associated content for gaming and lottery markets.
