Samsung's Lousy Solution: Don't Charge Phone All The Way

(RTTNews) - Samsung has come up with a funny and lousy solution for the explosion of the new Galaxy Note 7 smartphones. The South Korean tech giant reportedly will release a new software update for its Galaxy Note 7 users which would restrict users from charging their batteries fully.

According to reports, Samsung will release a software update next week in South Korea that will prevent Galaxy Note 7 batteries from charging above 60 percent of their capacity.

However, it is not clear when the software update will reach other affected countries, including the U.S.

Samsung has announced a voluntary recall of about 2.5 million Galaxy Note 7 phones globally after several users complained of the devices bursting into flames while charging.

The news have negatively impacted the company, with the company expected to record billion of dollars in charges.
