Salesforce.com Inc Q3 Earnings Advance 50%

(RTTNews) - Salesforce.com Inc (CRM) announced a profit for its third quarter that gained ground compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line came in at $140.52 million, or $0.21 per share. This was up from $93.61 million, or $0.14 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.19 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 23.9% to $1.71 billion. This was up from $1.38 billion last year.
