RED Group Moves over to IP with TNS
RED Group is the latest Italian organisation to offer its customers the
opportunity to move their payments to IP and adopt a multi-acquirer
approach, after signing a deal with Transaction Network Services
(NYSE:TNS).
RED Group, founded in 2002, is an Italian distributor, focused on NCR
hardware, software, and professional services. It provides professional
solutions, through a network of qualified value added resellers, to
retailers in the food, non-food and hospitality segments.
Capitalizing on specific NCR application platforms (WinEpts and Utility
Payment Bridge) RED will offer TNS’ IP
connectivity services and multi-acquirer solutions to customers,
enabling them to connect to any acquirer in Italy and the European
community via TNS’ secure PCI-DSS certified
backbone network. TNS will provide the hardware necessary to make this
transition and will provide 24x7x365 network support.
Stefano Rossi, Sales Manager at RED Group said: "IP
connectivity services allow for faster and more reliable transaction
processing when compared to other connectivity methods, so it was
essential that we push this transition. By moving to IP with TNS our
customers can also implement a multi-acquirer approach where previously
they were limited to a single acquirer.”
Giovanni Miste, Sales Manager for TNS Italy, added: "We
are happy to be partnering with RED Group. Since RED Group is currently
in the process of trying to expand the market segments it reaches, TNS’
global, private network will be a mainstay that it can depend on. RED
Group can count on TNS to work with it as its needs change and grow, and
to do everything we can to meet and exceed expectations.
"As all the x25 networks are currently being
shut down across Italy, retailers and merchants are in search of other
connectivity alternatives. Many merchants are finding the move to IP to
be the most cost-effective and sensible solution.”
