Raytheon Co Q3 Earnings Advance 18%

(RTTNews) - Raytheon Co (RTN) released a profit for its third quarter that gained ground from last year.

The company said its bottom line totaled $528 million, or $1.79 per share. This was up from $448 million, or $1.47 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.66 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 4.3% to $6.03 billion. This was up from $5.78 billion last year.
