Rayonier Names David Nunes Post-Separation CEO - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Rayonier Inc., (RYN) Monday announced the appointed of David Nunes as chief operating officer. The company also said that, following the separation planned to occur in the middle of 2014, Nunes will be chief executive officer and president. Current CEO and Chairman Paul Boynton will head Rayonier Advanced Materials.

David Nunes will be leaving his position as CEO and President at Pope Resources to join Rayonier. He has been Pope Resource's CEO since 2000.

Earlier this year Rayonier announced its plans to separate the performance fibers business from the forest resources and real estate businesses through a tax-free spinoff to the company's shareholders. The separation will result in two independent, publicly-traded companies.

Rayonier's Performance Fibers division will become Rayonier Advanced Materials, a company initially focused on the production of cellulose specialty products.
