Rackspace Hosting Q2 Profit Declines - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Rackspace Hosting, Inc. (RAX), the open cloud company, reported second-quarter net income of $22.4 million or $0.16 per share, compared to $25.1 million or $0.18 per share, last year.

On average, 21 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report profit of $0.13 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Net revenue was $376 million, up 18% from the second quarter of 2012. The company said net revenue for the second quarter of 2013 was negatively impacted by currency exchange rates by $2.7 million. Analysts expected revenue of $372.25 million for the quarter.
