Pre-market Movers For Aug 26 (ONXX, AMGN, TSLA, RIGL)

Onyx Pharmaceuticals Inc. (ONXX) is rising over 5 percent to $123.72. Amgen Inc. (AMGN) has agreed to buy the company for about $10.4 billion. Amgen will pay Onyx shareholders $125 per share in cash. Through this acquisition, Amgen has gained the full rights of Kyprolis, the newly approved multiple myeloma drug. AMGN is up 5 percent to $111.25.

Tesla Motors, Inc. (TSLA) is up more than 1 percent to $164.65.

Decliners:

Rigel Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (RIGL) is falling 17 percent to $3.00. The company announced that R343, an inhaled SYK inhibitor being evaluated as a potential therapeutic for patients with allergic asthma, did not meet the primary or secondary endpoints in a Phase 2 clinical study. The company said it has decided not to pursue this indication with R343.
