Plum Creek Timber Company Names Robert J. Jirsa Vice President, Government Relations; John B. Hobbs Vice President, Investor Relations; and Daniel L. Tucker Vice President, Tax

Plum Creek Timber Company, Inc. (NYSE:PCL) announced today that Bob Jirsa has been named vice president, government relations; he will continue to oversee the company’s government relations program. John Hobbs has been named vice president, investor relations and will continue to lead the company’s investor relations function. Dan Tucker has been named vice president, tax and will continue to lead the company’s tax department.

"These appointments recognize the significant contributions Bob, John and Dan have made to creating long-term value for Plum Creek,” said Rick Holley, president and chief executive officer. "In their respective roles, each has continually demonstrated the highest level of professionalism and responsibility, and our constituencies recognize their performance. They have served the company well for many years and these appointments recognize their commitment and dedication.”

Jirsa joined Plum Creek in 1994 as director, corporate affairs. Prior to that, he was with Alaska Airlines, serving as vice president of public affairs, and with ARCO as director of government affairs. Hobbs joined Plum Creek in 2001 as director of investor relations. He previously was the director of investor relations with Georgia Pacific in Atlanta. Tucker joined Plum Creek in 1998 as director of tax. Prior to that, he was a senior tax manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers and Ernst & Young.
