OncoGenex Pharma Appoints John Bencich As VP And CFO

(RTTNews) - OncoGenex Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (OGXI) Thursday announced the appointment of John Bencich as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.

Bencich, an experienced life sciences and technology industry executive, will join the firm effective August 11, and will lead the company's financial and administrative operations, reporting directly to OncoGenex President and CEO Scott Cormack.

Prior to his recent appointment at OncoGenex, Bencich served as CFO of Integrated Diagnostics Inc. Before joining Integrated Diagnostics in 2012, he was CFO of Allozyne, a private, VC-backed company.

OncoGenex shares closed Wednesday's trading at $2.92, up 0.69 percent. In the after hours trading, shares gained 23.29 percent further, to $3.60.
