Office Depot Foundation Cheers for Jason Taylor Through Grants Based on 'Dancing with the Stars' Success

The Office Depot Foundation, the independent foundation serving as the primary charitable giving arm of Office Depot (NYSE: ODP), has announced an encore to the successful partnership it established in 2007 with the Jason Taylor Foundation (www.JasonTaylorFoundation.org). Each time that Taylor advances to the next level of competition during the new season of "Dancing with the Stars,” the Office Depot Foundation will contribute $1,000 to the Jason Taylor Foundation for the Jason Taylor Reading Room. If Taylor wins the competition, the Office Depot Foundation will give an additional $5,000. Taylor, the 2008 recipient of the NFL’s Walter Payton Man of the Year Award, is widely acknowledged for his charitable efforts. He and his wife, Katina, established the Jason Taylor Foundation in 2004. In 2007, the Office Depot Foundation contributed $25,000 as well as computers, backpacks and school supplies to the Jason Taylor Foundation in support of its philanthropic mission to brighten the future for children in South Florida. In addition, the Office Depot Foundation donated $1,000 for every sack that the Miami Dolphins All-Pro Defensive End made during the 2007 football season – adding up to another $11,000.
