NXP Semiconductors Posts Profit In Q4; Guides Q1 - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - NXP Semiconductors N.V. (NXPI) reported fourth quarter net income of $96 million or $0.37 per share, compared to a net loss to $116 million or $0.47 per share last year.

Non-GAAP net income for the quarter grew to $253 million or $0.99 per share from $142 million or $0.56 per share a year earlier. Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected earnings per share of $0.95 for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude one-time items.

Total revenues climbed to $1.29 billion from $1.12 billion in the comparable period last year. Fifteen analysts estimated revenues of $1.27 billion for the quarter.

Looking forward to the first quarter, the company expects adjusted earnings of $0.84 to $0.96 per share, on revenues of $1.21 billion to $1.25 billion. Analysts currently estimate earnings of $0.89 per share on revenues of $1.23 billion.
