NRG Energy Prices $1 Bln Senior Notes Offering - Quick Facts
(RTTNews) - NRG Energy, Inc. (NRG) said it has priced its previously announced offering of $1 billion in aggregate principal amount of 6.25% senior notes due 2024.
The company said the New Notes mature on May 1, 2024 and the offering is expected to close on April 21, 2014, subject to customary conditions.
NRG said it intends to use the proceeds from the offering, together with cash on hand, to repurchase any and all of its outstanding 8.50% senior notes due 2019 and its outstanding 7.625% senior notes due 2019 and to pay fees and expenses related to the offering of the New Notes and incurred in connection with the repurchase of the 2019 Notes.
