Nordson Corporation Promotes Greg Wood to Vice President of Advanced Technology Systems Segment in Asia

Nordson Corporation (NASDAQ: NDSN) today announced the promotion of Greg Wood to the new executive level position of Vice President, Advanced Technology Systems, Asia. In his new role, Wood will be tasked with enhancing customer service, driving synergies across the segment’s product lines and capturing rapid growth opportunities throughout the region while providing additional local senior leadership.

Wood will report directly to Advanced Technology Systems Senior Vice President John Keane who said, "Our strategy and execution in Asia are crucial to the continued success of Nordson’s Advanced Technology segment. While Nordson currently has strong engineering, production, applications, marketing, and sales capabilities throughout the region, Greg Wood will bring additional focus, expertise and leadership to provide an even greater level of service to our customers. Greg is an ideal candidate for this position, having led the commercial activities of our Nordson ASYMTEK product line for more than 10 years. He has deep knowledge of the customers and end markets in the region, and his daily presence in this region will serve to improve our communication lines and increase our understanding and insight into the elements critical to our Asian customers.”

"Aside from the wonderful personal opportunity for my family and me to experience the unique cultural aspects of Asia, I’m also very excited by the opportunities to optimize our business and bring higher levels of support and service to our customers throughout the region,” said Wood. "We will be developing the logical synergies between the individual product lines represented by Nordson’s Advanced Technology segment. Nordson ASYMTEK, Nordson EFD, Nordson DAGE, Nordson YESTECH and Nordson MARCH are all well recognized as leaders in their individual industries and share many of the same customers in several focused markets, such as semiconductor packaging, printed circuit board assembly, LED packaging, electro-mechanical assembly, life science and medical device assembly, and alternative energy packaging. Presenting our customers with the most complete solution-set possible – as efficiently as possible – in these key markets will be a top objective of the new Asia organization.”

Wood joined Nordson ASYMTEK in 2000 as a key account manager and rose to the position of Vice President, Sales and Marketing in August 2006. In that role he directed the global business development, marketing, and sales activities for Nordson ASYMTEK products, growing the business to all time records in sales and profits. In his new position, Wood will have responsibility for all Nordson ASYMTEK and Nordson EFD personnel and activities in Asia and oversight of Advanced Technology segment strategy, structure, and staffing in the region.
