Nigel Jones Appointed Chief Executive Officer of the FCB UK Group

NEW YORK, August 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Nigel Jones has been named as Chief Executive Officer of the FCB UK Group. Steve Blamer, CEO of Interpublic Group's (NYSE: IPG) Foote Cone & Belding Worldwide made the announcement today. As Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Jones will oversee all operations of the FCB UK Group. Most recently, Mr. Jones served as Chief Executive of his integrated agency, Claydon Heeley Jones Mason (CHJM).

In making the announcement, Mr. Blamer stated, "Nigel is exactly the caliber of strategic leader that we need in the FCB network. He has a proven track record of successful client retention, an outstanding new business record and an admirably strong understanding of modern brands, consumers and marketing communications disciplines. Importantly, Nigel understands the efficacy of ALL marketing communications working together. Over the years he has clearly demonstrated his ability to connect with consumers at every touch point," concluded Mr. Blamer.

CHJM is a result of a 2000 merger between Jones Mason Barton Antenen (JMBA), a leading direct marketing agency in the UK of which Mr. Jones was a co-founder and managing partner, and Claydon Heeley, a number one creative sales promotion and direct marketing agency. CHJM was named Campaign's Direct Agency of the Year 2004.

Mr. Jones began his career in advertising at BMP DDB in 1984 as Head of Account Planning where he worked on such accounts as Sony Europe, IBM Europe and Barclaycard.

Mr. Jones, 45, resides in London. He holds a degree in Mathematics from Oxford University and was a ranked professional chess player between the ages of seven and 24.
