Netflix Cannot Cancel "Blasphemous" Show

(RTTNews) - Netflix has been asked to cancel a "blasphemous" show by a Christian group, however, the show is actually streamed on Amazon Prime.

A Christian group called Return to Order is very upset about a new series called "Good Omens," which features the forces of heaven and hell teaming up to stop the Antichrist. The have collected more than 20,000 signatures demanding Netflix to cancel the show, however, the show is actually streamed on Amazon Prim.

The petition, which appears to have been taken down from the Order's website, is reported to have been titled "Tell Netflix: Cancel Blasphemous 'Good Omens' Series." The Order said the series was "another step to make Satanism appear normal, light and acceptable."

The Christian group also noted other problems it had with the show, including God being voiced by a woman, the portrayal of the Antichrist as a normal kid, and the four riders of the apocalypse as a biker gang.

Good Omens is an adaptation of the 1990 comic fantasy novel by Neil Gaiman and the late Terry Pratchett. Amazon Prime is streaming the six-episode miniseries, which stars David Tennant as the demon Crowley and Michael Sheen as the angel Aziraphale.
