NCI Building Systems Q2 Loss Widens

(RTTNews) - NCI Building Systems, Inc. (NCS) reported reported a net loss for the second quarter of $7.5 million or $0.10 per share, compared to a net loss of $4.9 million or $0.07 per share for the year-ago quarter.

Excluding items, adjusted net loss for the second quarter was $4.3 million or $0.06 per share, compared to an adjusted net loss of $5.3 million or $0.07 per share in the prior year quarter.

Sales for the second quarter rose 18% to $360.1 million from $305.8 million a year earlier, mainly driven by the recent acquisition of CENTRIA.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report a loss of $0.03 per share on revenue of $360.70 million for the second quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
