Micro Focus: HPE Software Revenue Down In Q2, H1 - Quick Facts
(RTTNews) - Micro Focus International plc (MCFUF.PK, MCRO.L), which is in deal to combine with Hewlett Packard Enterprise's (HPE) software business segment by way of a merger, on Thursday reported the first half and second quarter results of HPE Software.
For the second quarter, HPE Software revenue was $685 million, down 11% year over year as declines in Licence and Professional Services more than offset growth in SaaS.
Operating profit was $181 million, representing an improved operating margin of 26.4% predominantly driven by disciplined cost controls.
For the first half, HPE Software revenue was $1.41 billion, down 10 % year over year, or down 5% when adjusted for divestitures and currency. Operating profit was $335 million, representing an improved operating margin of 23.8%.
Regarding the planned merger, the company said the transaction was approved by Micro Focus shareholders on May 26.
