Michael Geppert to Lead First Data Solutions

Electronic commerce and payments leader First Data Corp. (NYSE:FDC) has hired Michael Geppert as president, First Data Solutions. The company, part of First Data Financial Institution Services, serves leading financial institutions, debt, and collections agencies by helping them locate, verify and identify individuals and businesses. Geppert was previously senior vice president, First Data Solutions from 1991 to 1998 and had responsibility for setting market and product development strategies, negotiation of major contracts, and all marketing and advertising. He left First Data to become president, VideoYellowPagesUSA.com, a wholly owned subsidiary of InfoUSA. In 2000, Geppert joined the Omaha World-Herald Company, where he served as president, World Media Company, and most recently as director, Marketing, Internet Publishing and Product Management.
