Mercadolibre Inc. Profit Advances 14% In Q4

(RTTNews) - Mercadolibre Inc. (MELI) announced earnings for its fourth quarter that increased from last year.

The company said its bottom line advanced to $38.96 million, or $0.88 per share. This was up from $34.15 million, or $0.76 per share, in last year's fourth quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.69 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 12.0% to $180.73 million. This was up from $161.37 million last year.
