Medical Properties Trust Q4 FFO Down

(RTTNews) - Medical Properties Trust Inc. (MPW) Thursday said fourth-quarter funds from operations, or FFO, decreased to $23.58 million or $0.15 per share from $27.74 million or $0.21 per share in the same period last year.

Normalized FFO for the quarter was $38.1 million or $0.24 per share. On average, 11 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.26 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Fourth-quarter profit decreased to $17.84 million or $0.11 per share from $28.56 million or $0.21 per share last year.

Revenues increased to $67.68 million from $56.60 million last year. Analysts expected revenues of $68.73 million.
