Measurement Specialties Appoints Joe Gleeson As COO

(RTTNews) - Measurement Specialties, Inc. (MEAS) said Tuesday that it has appointed Joe Gleeson as Chief Operating Officer, replacing Steve Smith, effective April 3.

On April 1, the previously-announced retirement of Steve Smith as Chief Operating Officer of the company became effective. The company currently expects Smith to continue working for it through July 2015.

Prior to his appointment as Chief Operating Officer of the company, Gleeson held the position of Regional Director of Operations -- Europe since May 2010. Gleeson joined Measurement Specialties through its 2006 acquisition of BetaTHERM.
