Masonite Int'l Slips To Q3 Loss - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Masonite International Corp. (DOOR) reported a third-quarter net loss attributable to the company of $9.97 million or $0.34 per share, compared to net income of $3.62 million or $0.12 per share in the prior-year quarter.

Net sales for the quarter increased 9.9 percent to $476.12 million from $433.05 million in the same quarter last year, primarily due to increases of 6.6 percent in unit volumes and 4.4 percent in average unit price, partially offset by a 0.6 percent foreign exchange headwind.

Excluding the unfavorable impact of foreign exchange, net sales would have increased 10.5 percent to $478.6 million.

On average, analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.03 per share on revenues of $470.23 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
