Mark Peters to Join SunTrust as Head of Private Wealth Management

ATLANTA, Aug. 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- SunTrust Banks, Inc. announced today that A. Markman "Mark" Peters, age 49, will join the Company as an Executive Vice President and Head of Private Wealth Management. In this role he will assume responsibility for Private Wealth Management, including International Wealth Management, the Sports & Entertainment Banking Group, Personal Asset Management and SunTrust Investment Services, including SunTrust Insurance Group.

Mr. Peters will be based in Atlanta and report to William H. Rogers, Jr., Corporate Executive Vice President, Wealth & Investment Management.

Mr. Peters has 26 years of experience in private wealth management, most recently serving as Managing Director and Head of U.S. Private Wealth Management at Deutsche Bank. Prior to joining Deutsche Bank, he was a Managing Director and Head of the U.S. High Net Worth Group for Citigroup Private Bank. Mr. Peters also served as Head of the U.S. Trust, Investments and Custody businesses at Citigroup Private Bank.
