Leading Local Search and Navigation Companies Come to Omaha, Nebraska to Take Part in infoUSA's Second Annual User Conference
infoGROUP’s (NASDAQ: IUSA) infoUSA Database License Division hosted its Second Annual Users Conference on October 14-16, 2008. Many of the top players in Internet Search, Local Search, Directory Assistance, GIS/Mapping, Navigation and Telematics industries made the trip to Omaha to attend the conference.
infoUSA originally developed the conference in 2007 to educate customers about the infoUSA databases and allow industry peers to come together in one forum. Customers are able to tour infoUSA’s National Data Center, meet with database managers, attend sessions on maximizing infoUSA data, learn about the various specialty database groups and projects, and network with other industry executives. In 2008, brainstorming sessions and presentations from licensing partners were also added.
infoGROUP’s Database License Division licenses the infoUSA business, consumer and specialty databases to value added resellers for incorporation into a product or service for use by their customers.
Jim DeRouchey, President, infoUSA Database License Division, said, "We were excited to host the Second Annual User Conference for this segment of our customers. It’s an extremely interactive function and we come out of it learning so much from our customers and their respective industries.”
