KeyBank Names William R. Koehler Michigan District President

ANN ARBOR, Mich., June 25 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- KeyBank today appointed William R. Koehler president of its Michigan District. Koehler replaces Edward Reilly, who was named president of Key's newly formed Southwest Ohio District. Koehler reports to Chuck Sulerzyski, KeyBank's Great Lakes regional president.

Koehler has been at Key since 1996 and most recently led the National Commercial Bank and Financial Sponsors Group for Key's institutional banking business, based in Cleveland. Prior to that, he held positions of increasing responsibility with J.P. Morgan & Company (now JPMorgan Chase & Co.) in its corporate finance and credit/portfolio divisions.

In his new role, Koehler is responsible for growing Key's client base in Retail Banking, Business Banking, Commercial Banking and Private Banking and Investing. In addition to increasing profitability in all franchise lines of business, Koehler is responsible for the Michigan district's revenue, expense management, profitability and credit quality.

Koehler was deeply involved in Cleveland community activities, a practice he will continue in Michigan. He currently is a trustee of the Achievement Centers for Children and the Cleveland Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth, and is co-chair of the Harvard Club of Cleveland Schools and Scholarships Committee.

A Harvard University graduate, Koehler received a B.A. in Economics in 1987. He received an MBA from Columbia Business School in 1991.
