JFK Airport's Jet Age Terminal Being Converted To Hotel

(RTTNews) - New York's celebrated JFK International Airport's iconic TWA terminal will serve to the tastes of its customers. It will be the first on-Site hotel to JFK passengers and will be opened by 2018.

There will be eight restaurants, 505 guest rooms and meeting halls. The observation deck for the guests will be a huge expanse of 10 thousand square feet.

The airport terminal will be refurbished at a cost of $265 million. There will be an aviation museum to showcase the historical "birthplace of the Jet Age." The terminal opened to the public in 1962, has been closed since 2001, as it was not able to accommodate modern aircrafts.

MCR Development will have 95 percent of the ownership of the hotel as per the 75 year lease agreement, while JetBlue will retain five percent.
