JetBlue Upgrades Cabins With New TVs, Wi-Fi

(RTTNews) - JetBlue has announced plans to completely overhaul the cabins of all 130 of its Airbus A320 jets. The redesign will focus more on wi-fi connectivity and entertainment, power outlets, and comfortable seating.

According to reports, the carrier will replace its in-flight entertainment systems with new 10-inch screens that will run on Android. Customers will have access to DirecTV in flight, with more than 100 channels, up from just 36 channels offered now. The airlines will also increase the number of films in its library to over 100 movies.

JetBlue is also planning to provide free Wi-Fi connectivity with speeds hitting "12 to 20Mbps to each connected device."

The passengers will also get increased legroom and new seats with in-seat charging facilities. JetBlue plans to commence the redesigning in from next year.
