JetBlue Airways Corp. Q3 Income Drops 10%

(RTTNews) - JetBlue Airways Corp. (JBLU) released earnings for third quarter that dropped compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line declined to $179 million, or $0.55 per share. This was down from $199 million, or $0.58 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.53 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 4.6% to $1.81 billion. This was up from $1.73 billion last year.
